It doesn't matter if you are friends (or acquaintances) with someone -or not- when it comes to business. Business is business. No one makes money by giving deals...or so I have been told. Actually...or so I have read.
I recently had a mishap with who I thought was a friend (but was apparently only an acquaintance) about a business transaction. What an eye opener!!! I felt like I was misled and overcharged. I did not know all of the details prior to the business being done (as far as time and $) and maybe that was my fault. Maybe I should have asked more questions. All I know is now it's over and done with. I will never make the mistake again of going to a friend or acquaintance with a business need. If I happen to know the person through someone else that may be a different story.
It sucks that things in life have to be that way, but as a wise person once told me....don't let the little things bother ya. Don't swea the small stuff. Now you know for next time.....
With that said, it WAS a learning experience that I will never forget. it's just too bad that it had to be this particular once in a lifetime (for me) situation....
