The Weekend

What a great weekend! Rick and Mike put the fence up on Friday. It's so nice to let Kaci play in the backyard while I either play with her or clean up the yard. She absolutely loves being outside. I am also happy that KeiKei doesn't have to be on a chain anymore. We BBQed with the Fike's on Friday, Jeff and Chris on Saturday, and Sunday has been relaxing so far. I am sure today we will be eating leftovers. Jeff and Chris did bring sweet potatoe pie and yes...it was delicious. Although I have to say I am quite tired still. I am hoping that my workout will take care of it.

Only 4 more weeks and I am headed to Palm Springs to speak at the CSDIAI. I am very excited for this opportunity. I am considering more of these lectures. It's a great thing for JPAC and I am very proud of where I work and the mission that goes with it. Returning war hereos to their families is quite the honor.

Then it is off to Phoenix for my graduation ceremony. I am really looking forward to seeing A & V and actually meeting them for the first time.  They are going to be lifelong friends and have truly made a difference in my life. It should be wonderful.

Then I am hoping that my friend Tiffany comes out to visit. Then my person and her fam are coming out to visit in October. I am taking reservations if anyone else would like to put theirs in. :o)

I hope you all had as wonderful of a weekend as I did.

Until next time...

The move and other items of interest

The move went fantastic! We just love our new house. It's fresh and clean and is starting to feel more and more like home every day. We have a sectional on order for the carpeted living room.  We put up some bar stools at the kitchen counter. The play room is done fully equiped with an extra swesome futon! I still need to area rugs but I am looking for just the right ones. Kyle's room still needs some TLC, but it will get there. I LOVE having an actual laundry room. There is so much storage and I LOVE (and Rick does too) having a garage! The fence should be going up this weekend. Yippeee! Kaci loves sitting on the bottom step and enjoying her snacks. She is so funny when she just plops down and enjoys her crackers. KeiKei and Pixie seem to be loving the house too.

I am very excited to have some guests. Now that we actually have room it doesn't feel so darn cramped. Looking forward to upcoming visits.

On to other news. I will be headed to Palm Springs soon for a conference; I am looking forwad to that. Then I will be headed to Phoenix to walk ffor graduation! It feels so awesome to be done with school. I actually have time to workout and read!  (P90X is going great.) I love reading. It is just so nice to relax. I am throwing a baby shower first weekend in June so that should be fun! TWINS! Boys! Woo Hoo! I can't wait to meet Declan and Liam for the first time. :o)

Courtney is playing soccer and loving every minute. She will be having some summer fun at the AYSO soccer camp here on base. It's only for one week. We have been looking at the Arts & Crafts center for some summer sessions. they have a ton so now all we have to do is pick a couple of things for her to do.

Kaci still loves school AND is FINALLY...sleeping in her own room in her crib. She has taken very well to her new and improved space! She sleeps about 9-10 hours a night! YAY. I have never felt more rested.

Not much else going on here. Same ole daily grind. Excited about life and feel blessed everyday to be alive and well!

Until Next Time...

jenngee (she made this for me)

It's time to give a shout out to Jenn. One of my friends from work brought me this awesome blinged out coffee corset one day. Since I am a frequenter of Starbucks this was an awesome gift. It takes the place of the brown wrappers they put on the cup so you don't burn your hand off.

Since receiving mine as a gift I have purchased several others as gifts. In fact, just yesterday I purchased 2 Christmas ones and a couple of others so I can have some coffee corset variety.

This black and white one is the first one I received as a gift. Kinda blurry but you get the idea. The second one is alphabet soup that I ordered for Courtney's teacher. She will love it.

Anyway, if you would like to purchase a Cofee Corset for yourself or anyone else just go online and order from Jenn

She has hundreds to choose from and they are good for both cold and hot drinks! Thanks all!!!

One Week Left and a Milestone!

One more week... 1. Until we move into our new house AND 2. until school is officially over! However, I would like to say that in regard to school, the last assignment is DONE! I officially have NO MORE homework and am proud to announce that I can stamp on a MS after my name. YIPPEEEE!

We went to CPK on Friday night and Rick taught Kaci to drink from a straw. It was ultimately the cutest thing I ever saw! Her eyes lit up when she felt the rush of cold water flow into her mouth! It was actually quite funny! It was such a sweet moment for her and her daddy.

Easter was nice. Had a quiet day with the family. I actually got to take a nap for the first time in 16 months!!! it was AWESOME!

P90X is still going strong. I start week 4 tomorrow.

I hate to say it, but I am definitely allergic to the new WONDERFUL smell of Pomegranate Snuggle. Back to Downey!

My Aunt and her best friend have started a party business! They are both super duper crafty and I look forward to my wine glasses. They are just getting their business up and running but if you want unique party gifts or inexpensive party-in-a bag just go to http://www.partyfriendzy.com/ and give them a shout.

Let's see what else...Oh- my friend Angie is having TWINS and they are BOYS! I am so excited and I can't wait to throw her shower. My cousin Cori-Lynne is getting MARRIED so that's exciting and her dress is just gorgeous!

Other than that not much else is new.

Until Next Time...
