Lovin the South Bay

Man do we love being back in CA! We are still waiting on our household goods but we love it nonetheless. The girls and I have been having some water fun in the backyard and going to the park. I'm glad that even at 10 Courtney still likes to go to the park! Kaci loves to swing too and it is really hard to get her down. That girl could swing all day! We are planning on going to Disney in a few days with some friends if they have time. We also have lunch plans on Thursday with some friends that used to be in Hawaii and are now in Northern CA.

Courtney is very excited to see her friend Savannah and I am very excited to see Brandi.
The painting will commence next week (right after my birthday). Yes, my birthday is on Sunday! I can't believe it. I am going to be 32!!!! Yikes! I had completely forgotten about my birthday with everything that's been going on for us. We are going to have a great time cooking out with the family.
We do miss our Hawaii friends, but are happy to be off the rock. I am a city girl and I need that hustle, bustle, and chaos.
I should begin teaching within the next 60 days. Right now they are compiling a list of courses I can teach, those will be offered to me and then I will choose which ones I want to teach. YAY! I'm really excited about teaching.
Other than that not much else is going on. Hard to do anything with no household goods! I am patiently waiting for those to arrive. (Well, I am trying to be patient...heh) Anyhow, time to go for a walk and get my workout on! Go me!

Until next time!

A New Beginning

We have been in California now for 4 days. We are all still jet-lagged, but doing good. We are renting a nice little house for now until I can find something I want to buy. We just don't want to buy something that we don't love. We have been having fun in our back yard. We have a nice courtyard enterance and a garden (and a gardener!). We have a tomato plant growing out front and blackberry bushes on the side. Yay! The animals have made themselves right at home. We don't have AC but the cool breeze and ceiling fans take care of that. Its nice. We are happy and comfortable. Now its time to get painting before our household goods arrive! Its is so nice to have family near. We even have a hybrid fruit tree in the back. Its lemom/orange and really good. We are excited to see some friends that are coming to town in a couple weeks. Then we have more friends, well more like family, coming to visit in October. Yay! When they come we are going to Disneyland!!!!! Woo hoo! Well, I think that's about all for now.

Live, Laugh, Love!

Until next time...

The Last Day

Well, it's a sad day. It's the last day that we will be in our home on Hickam. We have lived here for 4 years. Tomorrow we are off to the hotel. Hawaii has been beautiful and I think this is a wonderful place to visit. However, I am glad to be going back to Cali and being near my family. There is a good chance that we will stay in CA forever. We have a lot of friends and family there as well as a lot of great work connections.

I am excited that we will get to see our friends the Davis' in a couple of weeks. Even if only for an hour I am excited to see them. It's been since April 2006. I remember that I was waiting and waiting for their daughter to be born and of course, she was born the morning that we left. We were already at the airport when she arrived. Now they have a sweet new baby boy and I am looking forward to meeting the kids and seeing their oldest son too!

It's gonna be a busy week. I am NOT looking forward to saying goodbye to the one that I hold the dearest. I am not looking forward to saying goodbye to my friends. In fact, I refuse. I will just say, "See you later!" So friends, "See you later!" I will see you again!

I hope all is well with all of you!

Until next time!

Ciao!

Chapter 1

Yes. Some of you will saw ewww but this is not ewww this is kick butt! This is MY skull. In layman's terms this is what my head looks like with no flesh. This was part of my going away gift from the CIL (along with a wonderful plaque)! I am definitely a Caucasian female with very feminine features. Today was my last day at the CIL. It was sad to say goodbye, but there are new adventures on the horizon.
Today I have started a new chapter in my life. I will spend the nest few days with my hubby and friends and then the kids and I will get on a stinky airplane and head over to land of the crazies (California). HAHA! I welcome crazyland with open arms. I am looking forward to starting my new career and I know that it will bring wonderful opportunities for me. I am trying to help make a life for my family. Rick is doing a great job making the other half. I could not have asked for a better husband. Okay, enough sap. I am ready to kick butt and get promoted. Go me!
I am also looking forward to my person and her family visiting in October! Should be fun yet relaxing. Then I should have a couple more friends from HI coming out to see me.
Oh yeah, 2 babies were born this month. My friend AD had her baby today (boy) and my friend CB had his baby on 4th of July (girl). I love it. Babies are truly God's miracles and we are chosen by Him to be the parents of these babies. I am thankful everyday that He let me be Kaci's mother. I sure love that girl!
My life, our life, is a whirlwind right now and I barely have time to breathe. Tomorrow we are helping set up the nursery for the twins and then dinner with friends. Sunday we have to pack up our clothes, Monday the mover's come, and Tuesday our HHGs get picked up and put on the ship. (I hope the ship doesn't sink!) Then we are off...

Until next time...

BIG Changes

Hi All! Well, it's official. We are headed back to California on 16 July. Woot woot! I start my new job on 30 August! I am so excited! We already have a house lined up to rent. Not quite ready to buy yet. I didn't want to be rushed into buying something I didn't absolutely love. Our time here on the island has been wonderful. We have had the honor of making some really great friends and I have been very blessed in my carer at JPAC. I (we) will never forget the support of those who care about us. My last day at the CIL will be 9 July. That will be a bittersweet moment.

Courtney is excited to get back to Cali so she can start practicing on her dirt bike. She really wants to start racing. Get ready grandpa Scott! This girl is NO FEAR.

I am pretty sure Kaci is excited too. Every time we talk about rusty she gets a HUGE smile! LOL It will be a hard transition for her. She will have a new teacher at some point and she will have to make all new friends. But...the good thing is that we will get to raise her close to her family.

I hope that my dear friends from Hawaii will come and visit often. I am sure going to miss them. ...

Our life is a whirlwind right not. We shipped our van yesterday and it left on the ship today. Our household goods will be on the ship on the 14th headed to CA. Hopefully it all gets there in one piece. LOL I am excited to be near my family again. We always have a great time when we are together. I know Nana Marian is very excited to get to know Kaci. She hasn't really gotten to see her that much since she's been born. It's all good! Now, we have time. We will of course be bringing the pets. Pixie and KeiKei are small enough to be our carry on so they will go right on the plane with us. That should be interesting. HA HA

Well,  I am exhausted so I am going to hit the sack...I will keep you all posted on our journey!

Until Next Time...

Thank you GOD for always blessing our family!
